Something has gone terribly wrong...

You wake in a cave, with amnesia. While you explore, you slowly discover who you are, and how you became lost. The broken and dangerous cave system reveals part of a temple to a lawful good goddess that befell a calamity. As pieces of your memory return, you realize that you must race against time to help your mentor battle an ancient evil. But, for now, you are alone and Lost in the Dark.

A 5th Edition Solo Adventure?

Lost in the Dark Act 1 is a solo 5E game that needs no DM, and no other players. The Zine is your DM. We've created a branching adventure path that provides you with choices and actions you can take. At first these choices are based on skills (which may be enhanced by your background), in later Acts these choices are affected by your class and abilities.

The adventure feels a bit like an old school dungeon crawl, but focuses on self discovery and escape from the caves. Depending on your choices, you can have different experiences, as combat is always an option, but we built in a lot of skill related options - kind of like Skyrim or Fallout where you choose an option based on stats or skills.

Tides of Battle™
Our unique journalling system allows you to make choices, and record dice rolls when confronted with a skill challenge or encounter. When you turn the page, however, these dice rolls are randomized to affect the outcome... so you never know if that Natural 20 was for you or the baddie! Once resolved, the encounter branches to other rooms, areas, outcomes, and wandering monsters. So even though you're on page 25, that monster from later in the book might be chasing you! Some consequences stick with you through the rest of the story. Because you can choose your background, and roll your stats, there's plenty of replay value.
